Georg P. Meyer, M.D.

Senior Vice President, Head of International

Georg P. Meyer, M.D., holds more than two decades of biotechnology and pharmaceutical experience as a strategic innovator and visionary leader, with a track record of driving high-impact sales and marketing strategies, overseeing pricing and market access initiatives across international markets, and leading cross-functional teams, including medical affairs. Since 2021, Georg has served as Senior Vice President, Head of International at Blueprint Medicines, where he oversees strategic and tactical operations for international regions, including financial planning and commercial leadership. In this role, he leads cross-functional initiatives and drives international business operations towards financial sustainability, overseeing employees in European countries and select partners in expansion markets. From 2019 to 2021, Georg served as Vice President and General Manager, Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) at Blueprint Medicines. In this role, he co-created innovative late-stage pipeline solutions and managed commercial geographic expansions, including access strategies and supply chain infrastructure. Prior to that, Georg served as General Manager, Germany at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and he held various roles of increasing responsibility at Amgen and Sanofi-Synthelabo. Georg earned his M.D. from partnered institutions University of Freiburg, Germany and University of Innsbruck, Austria.
